Since 1978 the Brockton Karate Club has been training
students in the way of Okinawan Karate. Founded by
Ernest Howland, a 37 year practitioner, the school
developed a detailed curriculum that builds a sound
foundation for practitioners and prepares them for the
ultimate test of their skills, the black belt exam. Mr.
Howland's insistence that students rise to the highest
level of physical achievement while developing their
whole character worthy of true martial artists has made
the Brockton Karate Club one of the most successful and
well respected schools in eastern Massachusetts.
Howland was a 6th Dan Master Instructor at the time of
his death in 2005, the school was left to his advanced
students who today carry on the tradition of both the
club and the way of Okinawan Karate.
